Vladislav was born in 1996 in Ukraine, in Dnipro. In 2022, he received a master’s degree in studio and monumental painting from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. He is a member of a group of artists at the Kyiv Institute of Automation. Industrial landscapes and industrial objects surrounded Vlad throughout his childhood and remained the focus of his creative work. A significant series of paintings of Kyiv metro stations and tunnels emerged in his artistic process. Currently, Vlad often visits his hometown, where his parents still reside, and the metro takes on new functions and meanings.
“In our consciousness, the metro is now more than just transportation; it’s a place where all people can find shelter. It’s a safe zone from rockets and explosions. Very often, we could see people living right in the metro stations, and this personal experience is etched in my memory.”
Healing. Save Hugging

We are far from home, where we are loved and awaited. Here, too, we are cared for by local people, but we are here – a reminder of the war. We are in a new house, and we are waiting for each other, and we love each other. Here we are all mothers for all and a big new family. Here hugs are compensation for all losses. Hugs to save. March 2022. War in Ukraine.
